Peace on the Pier
September 21st marks the International Day of Peace, established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly as a celebration and recognition of the foundational importance of peace to their mission. Peace embodies not only the absence of violence, but also safety, sustainability, acceptance, opportunity, and community.
Peace on the Pier brings together artworks by local artists exploring the many ways we experience and create peace in connection with our ecosystems. As you explore the exhibition, we invite you to reflect on the relationships we share with the wildlife, waters, and landscapes around us, and consider how caring for these places can be an expression of peace.
Together, we can create a more peaceful future by protecting and restoring the places we all call home.
Where: This exhibition will be open to the public daily and is included with admission tickets to the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center.
When: October 22th, 2026 - January 22, 2027
All artworks will be available for purchase. A portion of proceeds will benefit Tampa Bay Watch’s mission to protect and restore the bay’s estuarine ecosystem.
