Eco-Friendly Events
Hosting your event at the Discovery Center or Tampa Bay Watch’s headquarters in Tierra Verde does double duty for the bay! Your booking fee supports our mission, and our eco-friendly event guidelines are designed to encourage minimum plastic pollution and maximum fun.
Discovery Center Exhibit Gallery
From cocktail parties to paint and sip nights, celebrate while surrounded by our exhibits featuring local Tampa Bay wildlife and educational displays!
Your reservation includes:
Space for up to 75 guests
Maximum capacity of 75 guests in the exhibit gallery at a time. There is a lower capacity for seated events.
Spectacular views of downtown
In addition to our exhibit gallery, guests are welcome to use the outdoor patio area in front of the Discovery Center.
Cocktail party basics
We have four cocktail tables with black tableclothes available.
Base Cost — $200 per hour
Staff & Cleaning Fee — $400
Add-ons:
Use of 8-ft tables with black tablecloths & chairs — $20 per table (up to four available)
Eco-friendly serving supply package (compostable plates and utensils, reusable wine glasses, napkins) — $50
Themed activity hosted by Tampa Bay Watch — Pricing varies
90-minute boat excursion (up to 45 guests) — $500
Discovery Center Classroom
Host a private hands-on learning experience, intimate gathering, or team meeting in our classroom space while surrounded by the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay.
Your reservation includes:
Space for up to 25 guests
Maximum capacity of 25 guests (includes children and adults) in the classroom at a time.
Enjoy our exhibit gallery
Guests will receive complimentary entrance to our Discovery Center on the St. Pete Pier, featuring countless animals and educational activities.
Base Cost — $150 per hour
Staff & Cleaning Fee — $200
Applicable to events that take place after 5pm.
